I don't hate Macs, I hate Mac users

OK, Its time to set things straight here. I'm really really sick and tired of all this BS about Mac's, Windows and Linux. People, you are all having the wool pulled over your eyes. It's all a sales ploy and I'm sick of it. Ranting aside I plan on setting the record straight for everyone and uncovering the myth's that exist.

I read a really interesting article a couple of months ago from someone who was infuriated by a similar issue. He went on tell of his experiences with how good Macs were and really just how obnoxious Mac users really can be. I decided to add to it because nowadays its getting worse and the Advertisement campaigns Apple are putting out there are down right misleading. I will add to this blog over the coming months until I'm satisfied that I've covered off all avenues. If I get feedback to continue then I guess I will.

I really want to Clarify one thing first of all.

A PC is a personal computer. It is not only a windows computer but is a computer that has an operating system and is readily available to home users. It can be Windows, Mac OS, Ubuntu or any distribution that allows people to use the hardware for home or business computing purposes.

A Mac is branding and branding alone. It is a very expensive piece of customized hardware that has an operating system only available for its hardware set by constraints in its software and programming. Its quite smart to do this as Apple understand everything about the operating systems usage thus making it reliable. A Mac does not compete with Windows and it will never. It is a fallacy through oversimplification that such a competition exists. Macs simply are hardware, operating systems, branding, obsessive marketing (similar to what the cosmetic industry does to create an image) and relatively mediocre support (I'll prove this later).

Windows is an Operating system that is programmed by Microsoft and has been for many years. What does that mean? We'll It should mean that they make great software as they've been doing it for a long time. We'll that can't be true as everyone is programming and working with cutting edge technology and in most cases inventing it. New software always has bugs in it and over time they are Ironed out. To base Microsoft's entire reputation on Windows Vista is not only wholly unfair but not true in the least. Apple's recent campaigns have been suggesting this and as a competitor in its market right now (supposedly) it is true that Windows Vista is a terrible Operating System but to suggest that Microsoft are overall creators of bad software is incorrect. Windows covers numerous very successful server Operating Systems that are not only industrial class but Windows XP is by far the most reliable, most used and most versatile Windows distribution today. Windows users are frustrated with Vista because its not anything like XP (also instability issues).

Microsoft have under their belt, Windows XP which started much the same as Vista and by SP2 was simply superb (I will prove this later). Windows XP can be fully customized to satisfy any type of usage giving a rock solid platform for any type of usage such as camera systems, Airport Terminal tickers, Internet Kiosks all the way through to Medical usage. There's no illusions that Windows is amazingly versatile and this is tough for manufacturers in some ways as hardware must compliment. That leads me to hardware vendors.

HP, Dell, Gateway, Acer and Asus are just a few names of companies who bundle together hardware and offer support structures around their product. They do this in many smart ways and sometimes some stupid ways offering deals that they cannot possibly fulfill. Hardware manufacturers are responsible for the components of all computers such as the processor, memory, motherboard and so on. This very same hardware exists in Mac's. they are all the same. There really is no difference. A few years ago that wasn't the case but the identity of the Mac now only exists on the exterior.

Windows users vary from third world to first world countries, In all types of jobs from Police officers terminals to handheld ultra mobile portable devices UMPC's. I don't think I've ever seen a Mac user during my travels in Asia not to mention widely used in Business. They are expensive, lack infrastructural versatility required for bu8siness and are geared only towards users with an individual requirement. Yeah, sure it's used in f41ashion and design but what percentile of the market is that? .05% perhaps? That's a wild guess but I'd well imagine it's less. Windows is widespread for a reason, Lets face it Mac users, You know deep down I'm right.

All of the above is the premise for my future postings but I assure you that I'll uncover this for what it is. A big marketing scheme to get you to buy Apples products.
